Abrazo West Campus (located at 136th Avenue and McDowell Road in Goodyear) is a 188-bed acute care hospital serving the healthcare needs of the residents of the southwest Valley since September 2003. Abrazo West Campus has been recognized for high standards of quality and safe patient care by being named a recipient of the Womenï¿½s Choice Award as one of Americaï¿½s Best Hospitals in Emergency Care. They are also accredited by The Joint Commission and are a Joint Commission-designated Primary Stroke Center and accredited Chest Pain Center. Assists patients, families and staff in times of physical, emotional and spiritual distress. Responsible for ministry to the health needs of all patients. Forms community of pastoral care. Provides services and resources as requested by the patient or family.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelorï¿½s degree in related filed
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Ministry, counselling, or human services
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 0-2 Yearsï¿½ experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Board Certified Champlain and in good standing with a professional chaplaincy organization
REQUIRED COURSE(S) TRAINING: 500 hours internship or clinical supervised hours
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Certified or licensed
SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience and knowledge in crisis situations, and the process of dying, death, and bereavement.
