Swedish Neuroscience Institute is seeking a full-time Functional Neurosurgeon. In this role, you will participate in a multidisciplinary approach to Epilepsy, Movement Disorders and other functional intervention programs. This position offers research opportunities and new technology approaches. Swedish has one of the oldest NAEC accredited Level IV adult epilepsy and deep brain stimulator programs in the country. Frame based, frameless and robot-assisted basal ganglia and thalamic electrodes, SEEG, grid and strip based electrocorticography, RNS Neuropace, VNS, Spinal stimulation, laser ablation and pain or spasticity pump placements are routinely done. There is a robust multi-state referral base for patients with Epilepsy, Movement Disorders or complex pain with multidisciplinary teams already in place for patient selection and long-term management.
