Neurodiagnostic - EEG
Performs complex Neurodiagnostic studies in the operative environment under occasional guidance. Has knowledge of advanced Neurosurgical, Vascular, ENT, and Orthopedic procedures and understand the anatomical structures at risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Performs complex multi-modality intraoperative procedures with the ability to collect data pertinent to the interpretation of test results.* Review planned intraoperative procedure and orders for monitoring to determine the structures at risk relative to patient history/pre-existing conditions and monitoring requested.* Teaches and mentors students as assigned by Team Leader.* Serve as a departmental point of contact in the absence of the Team Leader and provide team with daily logistical and technical direction.* The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES* Diagnostic Testing (Novice): Demonstrates proficiency of diagnostic testing in practical applications. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results.* Equipment Maintenance (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the ability to maintain equipment, products, or systems in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Assures that parts inventory is sufficient.* Training & Development (Novice): Has presented course modules as part of a program. Effectively prepared by demonstrating knowledge in course content, structure and objectives, as well as audience characteristics. Demonstrated audience sensitivity and awareness. Responded professionally to content questions.* Medical Terminology & Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate medical terminology and documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty.* Patient Evaluation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the ability to conduct a patient evaluation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Capable of effectively assessing the relative merits of alternative products or services.
