Indiana University Health General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Division is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Geriatrician to attend to patients in the nursing home setting and perform outpatient geriatric consultation at IU Health Saxony Hospital. Our Geriatrics team understands the intricacies associated with the care of older adults whose medical problems are often complex and interrelated. Our division has programs that capture patients in the whole continuum of Geriatric care including inpatient, outpatient, primary care, home visit consultative practices, and nursing home practice.
Position Highlights:
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-430pm
Minimal call requirements
60% inpatient and 40% outpatient
Affiliate Faculty teaching position with Indiana University School of Medicine
Well established clinical team of collaborative providers and interdisciplinary staff
Qualifications:
Preferred: Geriatrics Board Eligible or Certified; The American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (ABPLM) Certified Medical Direction (CMD)
Interested in current fellows and practicing physicians

IU Health Saxony Hospital delivers a primary focus on surgical services for cardiovascular and orthopaedics, and provides area residents with the latest advancements in medical care and treatment. The hospital offers the only 24/7 coverage for urgent heart care in the city of Fishers, and is home to the IU Health Hip and Knee Center (where more hip and knee replacements are performed than any other IU Health facility in the state).
